Sarah
Ilic
My name is Sarah Ilic. I have been a renal patient for 25 years due to Lupus SLE which developed into Lupus Nephritis.
12 years ago I had to begin haemodialysis and changed over to Peritoneal Dialysis, which I preferred and was my renal replacement therapy for almost 6 years.
I was lucky to have a successful ‘unrelated live transplant’ 7 years ago which has changed my life considerably.
Six years ago I began volunteering for the KPA and I took up the task of Secretary in October 2014.
I live with my husband and grown up daughter and our dog (Dina). I enjoy holidaying in Croatia and Bosnia, reading, watching films, listening to music and walking Dina in the park.
